“Came across Clive Blanchard while looking though various sites as part of a review of the comfort levels (or lack there-of) and energy consumption of our house. After tripping over Clive and his relationship with the Nationwide House Energy Relation Scheme (NatHERS) and his ability to provide an energy assessment score we contacted him and arranged for an on site inspection.
This provided us with a much better understanding of the cause of the problems with heating and cooling and liveability of our 2005 build home. I was very interested in the thermal imaging aspect of the review and the results confirmed the problems with steel frame and poor insulation which require substantial follow up. He also discussed the possible benefits of changing from gas heating, evaporative cooling to reverse cycle ducted air conditioning.
This report could be a substantial advantage when it comes time to sell this property when coupled with documented improvements to address issues.
The NatHERS review is a very worthwhile exercise which I strongly recommend, particularly if intending to reside in a property in the longer term."

“Clive was very thorough, informative and responsive and we strongly recommend his services. Using his highly technical knowledge he set out a practical plan for us to upgrade the energy efficiency of our 1960s family home in five steps, starting with the measures would save us the most energy and be the most affordable to do (eg insulation). This involved a house visit to measure our site and understand our priorities and budget and then he presented us a report via a video link meeting (to fit in with our timetable). He was great at answering specific and follow up questions (eg about skylights, ACs) and at adapting to our needs. We have since completed the first step (insulation in walls and ceiling) and its already made our house so much warmer in winter and cooler in summer. The next steps will happen this year.”
